St.
Vincent DePaul Society (S.V.D.P.S.) is an organization that is dedicated
to helping our brothers and sisters in need. Members come from all
walks of life and faiths. They assist people in emergency situations
who are underemployed, unemployed or have a fixed low income. These
are situations where governmental agencies are unable to assist
them.
If circumstances warrant it, S.V.D.P.S. helps with food, rent, utilities,
gas, transportation, prescription medications, lodging for the homeless,
and disaster services. S.V.D.P.S. works closely with governmental
agencies, Salvation Army, and churches of all denominations. They
also provide information and referrals to various governmental agencies
and other organizations that offer assistance to the needy.
